It was time for a fresh new envelope of the Northern Lights Regional Health Centre building, which involved the complete replacement of walls, windows, roofs, doors, and entrances.

To reduce stress on occupants and keep overall costs low, a speedy but efficient system was put in place. Interior walls at the exterior of the building were reused, creating only minor disruptions to occupants instead of months of frustration. The project’s timeline estimate went from 57 months down to 46 months.

Northern Lights chose to use colors that would add an element of fun and visual appeal to their location. In addition to the color, material durability was an important decision due to the climate of Canada.

Trespa® is known for a unique technology which gives Trespa® Meteon® and Trespa Pura NFC® exceptional weather resistance and color stability while giving Trespa® TopLab®PLUS its scratch and chemical resistance.

The colors used for this project were Trespa® Meteon® Powder Blue (A22.2.4) and Trespa® Meteon® Mineral Blue (A23.0.4), providing the light accent colors. In addition, Northern Lights worked with Trespa® to create a  custom color they called Northern Light.
